Recent new products from Amstrad included analogue receivers only. Still,
the need for a digital box in their product range was very high. However, the
big issue for Amstrad was whether it should be an free-to-air receiver or
whether it should feature Common Access slots as well? With the introduction of
the new SRD4101, they have decided for FTA. The result is a box offering
unlimited access to all free channels on the digital television highway.
